    Community Guidelines

    Version 1.0 · Effective May 2, 2026

Riant exists to connect customers with talented local bakers for life's most meaningful celebrations. These guidelines describe how we expect everyone — customers and bakers alike — to interact on our platform. They are the plain-language companion to Section 9 of our Terms of Service, which contains the binding legal framework. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service govern.

We wrote these because trust is our product. Every order on Riant represents someone's birthday, wedding, or milestone — and the baker who pours craft and care into making it real. These guidelines protect both sides of that relationship.

    Our Principles

    Be Honest & Authentic

Trust is the foundation of every transaction on Riant. Represent yourself, your products, and your services truthfully.

    • Use accurate photos that represent your actual work — not stock images, AI-generated images, or photos of others' creations
    • Provide honest descriptions of ingredients, allergens, and dietary accommodations
    • Set realistic timelines and only accept orders you can fulfil
    • Leave genuine reviews based on your real experience

    Treat Everyone with Respect

Riant connects real people around celebrations. Every interaction should reflect the care that goes into the occasion.

    • Communicate professionally and courteously, even when resolving disagreements
    • Never harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against another user
    • Respect other people's privacy — don't share personal information without consent
    • Be patient and understanding; custom orders involve collaboration

    Keep It on Riant

Our platform exists to protect both customers and bakers. Completing transactions through Riant ensures everyone has the safeguards they deserve.

    • Process all payments through the platform so both parties are protected
    • Don't solicit off-platform transactions to avoid fees — this removes protections for both parties
    • Use Riant's messaging system for order-related communication
    • Don't share contact information to circumvent platform processes

    Uphold Quality & Safety

Food safety is non-negotiable. Every baker on Riant is expected to meet the highest standards of care.

    • Comply with all applicable food safety laws and health regulations
    • Accurately disclose all ingredients, allergens, and potential cross-contamination risks
    • Maintain clean, sanitary preparation environments
    • Deliver products that match what was agreed upon in quality, quantity, and presentation

    Role-Specific Expectations

    For Customers

    • Provide clear, accurate details when requesting a quote — including any allergies or dietary restrictions for anyone who will eat the cake
    • Respond to your baker's questions in a timely manner so they can prepare your order
    • Honour confirmed orders and cancellation policies — bakers often begin sourcing ingredients well in advance
    • Inspect your order at pickup or delivery and raise any concerns through the platform within 72 hours of your event date
    • Leave honest, fair reviews based on your actual experience

    For Bakers

    • Respond to quote requests promptly — customers are often planning time-sensitive celebrations
    • Set prices that accurately reflect your work, and honour the prices you quote
    • Communicate proactively if anything changes — early notice prevents disappointment
    • Deliver products that match what was agreed upon in your quote
    • Maintain your availability calendar so customers can see accurate scheduling
    • Comply with the Provider Agreement, which contains additional standards specific to bakers

What Happens If These Guidelines Are Violated

When something goes wrong, our response depends on the severity, frequency, and context of the behaviour — not a fixed strike count. Possible actions include a private notice and an opportunity to correct the issue, holding pending payouts while we investigate, temporarily suspending an account, or permanently removing an account from the platform. Severe conduct — including fraud, harassment, repeated misrepresentation, or food-safety negligence — may result in immediate termination without prior notice. Enforcement decisions are made by Riant in its reasonable discretion under Section 14 of the Terms of Service and, for bakers, the Provider Agreement.

    How to Report a Concern

If you experience or witness behaviour that violates these guidelines, please let us know. You can report issues directly through the platform's order tracking page, or reach out to our team through the Help Center. All reports are reviewed confidentially.

These Community Guidelines supplement Section 9 of our Terms of Service, which contains the binding framework for prohibited activities and enforcement. In the event of any conflict between these Guidelines and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service govern. Riant Technologies Inc. reserves the right to update these guidelines at any time.
